Invest in Canada is looking for a Brand Marketing Officer to support the development and implementation of Invest in Canada’s global advertising campaigns. Reporting to the Director, Brand, and working closely with the Senior Advisor, Brand Marketing, this role will be responsible for supporting the creative development, media planning and performance measurement of the advertising campaign, as well as liaising with the Agency of Records and other marketing agencies.
Duties and Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities for this role may include but are not limited to the following:
- Supports the creative development and execution of the annual advertising campaign
- Supports the development and implementation of global media campaigns and country-specific media plans (focus on digital media, including, but not limited to digital direct, programmatic and social) with Agency of Record.
- Conducts research and analysis to measure the effectiveness pre- and post-campaign in order to recommend and present actionable insights to senior management.
- Liaises with the Manager of Digital and web development agencies to assist with the development and updating of the campaign landing pages content and user experience design.
- Supports the overall campaign performance measurement including ongoing media performance analysis and data driven optimization recommendations.
- Synthesizing learnings and developing insights from campaign results, analysis of website traffic and campaign landing page performance.
- Supports the overall project management of the advertising campaigns including timeline development, project and resource planning, monitoring of project progress, and mitigation of risk to ensure campaigns are executed on time and on plan.
- Manages key working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including the creative and media Agency of Record and other marketing agencies and partners.
Requirements:
- Post secondary education in the field of Business, Commerce, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent knowledge gained through work experience.
- 3-5 years of integrated advertising campaign development, implementation and performance management experience preferably on the international stage.
- Experience with various digital media tactics (including programmatic and direct buys) and different channels are essential.
- 1+ years of experience working with and/or managing partner agencies or equivalent experience working for a global media agency
- Prior experience evaluating marketing campaign strategies, creative, and media plans.
- Experience monitoring campaign delivery reports and analyzing performance to develop insights is essential.
- Prior experience with Google Analytics is essential.
- Excellent internal & external communication skills (written and oral).
- Strong organizational, and project management skills.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to develop insights from data.
- Excellent creativity and innovative skills in all aspects of design and projects.
- Detail oriented.
- Strong client service focus
- Excellent problem solving skills and ability to creatively solve problems and adapt to changing priorities and demands.
- Ability to travel to Ottawa, ON twice per year for All-Staff meetings.
